An academic foundation backed by proven practical experience from working with real projects at Debicki Speta Designs.
Consulting with clients and establishing their design needs, developing quick sketches of the existing and proposed building for comparison by hand and with the aid of software. Ensured that the concepts for the client complied with City of Calgary’s zoning and setback requirements. Pushing the limits and challenging the existing requirements, and demonstrating to the City the benefits of using the maximum building space the proposed concept, and how it worked with the overall layout of the existing community. Working to obtain development approval for subdividing an existing site, liaising with the City to obtain permits, conducting multiple site visits and documenting construction progress.
